Getting Around Valencia

The centre of Valencia
Central Valencia is small enough to walk around (and that’s the only way to discover some of the great hidden squares and side streets), but if you need to get down to the beach or back from an all-night club on the outskirts public transport is easy, fast and cheap.
taxi rank in Plaza de Sol
Taxi
Definitely a good option as few rides will cost more than €4. They can be hard to come by at nightlife “rush hour” though (3-6am). Ask our rep if you need a cab sorted out I advance.
try bussing it about
Bus
The red EMT buses has 91 lines by day and 7 by night, covering anywhere you could dream of wanting to go. Check the maps on the stops for routes. Night buses are handy if cabs get scarce in the wee small hours. Main lines run every 5 or 6 minutes and in summer there are extra lines to beaches of Malvarrosa and Las Arenas.
The metro is convenient, clean and cheap in Valencia
Underground (Metro)
Again cheap and efficient (€1.20 or less for any journey), if more geared to commuters from suburbs.
The tram is convenient, and great for getting to the beach
By Tram
Henorita’s fave for a good laugh while getting around and especially down to the beach. Valencia trams go from the Pont de Fusta, near the Serrano Towers, around the main streets of the city and then take you down to beach !
see the how city on bike
By Bicycle
An excellent option if you know where to go and stick to the plentiful flat and quiet side streets (remember car drivers are as mad as anywhere else in Spain !). We can sort you out with bikes for a day and you’ll see the whole town !
